It's time for some FUN!

I'm acquiring a bunch of Mann Up tickets. For what you ask?

For the poor and/or frugal, Valve-hating RH members and regulars!

This Friday, September 7, I'm giving away a bunch of Mann Up tickets! During our regularly scheduled Friday Night Fights, on the regular RH server, I'm going to be challenging people to do silly things to win Mann Up tickets, and other prizes of my choosing!

What silly things?? Try some of THESE!

- dominating [RH]Heisenberg
- airblasting Jinxter off a cliff
- killing DANE with his own deflected rocket or nade
- dominating Hkness (this one is really easy!)
- killing Carl Weathers with a fish
- doing really tough rocket or detonator jumps of my declaration
- taunt killing me

I'll announce when each challenge starts and stops, so be ready! Some will be running challenges all night, and some will only last till one person achieves it. I'll let you know which ones, but taunt killing me will definitely be open all night, till I run out of goodies. Come and get me if you can!

These challenges will be open to everyone on the server. While I prefer giving stuff to members and regulars, I have to honor pubs who manage to outplay you, so don't let them win!

Possible PRIZES:
- Mann Up Tour of Duty Ticket (most prizes will be this, since it's the theme)
- Surplus Voucher
- MannCo Crate Key
- Backpack Expander! (you know you want it)
- random hat (probably one of my duplicates)
- Strange Botkiller Scattergun

Other stuff:
- you can trade 2 tickets to me at any time for a MannCo Crate Key
- you're free to suggest challenges, as long as they are funny or challenging, and don't involve anyone using mini sentries
- screenshots of you taunting with the killfeed for applicable challenges always results in a bonus prize of my choosing

I have a few suggestions:

1) Anything regarding the airblast or bonk because I love being able to do nothing in the game.
2) Since I haven't been playing, be the only person to not dominate me during a round. Oh wait, just give this one to HK.
3) Kill me while I have a charged uber as I run circles around the player I am healing and yet they still ignore the person shooting at me.
4) Take the medkit right in front of me, while I am on fire and then I die on top of where the medkit was. I have a name for this one. "HELLO, I'M A MEDIC."
5) Do anything that indicates you think the game is Deathmatch and not PL or CP.
6) Repeatedly melee hit me in spawn before the round starts. This one is called "INSTABAN"
7) Anything to do with the single thing that ruined this game, HATS!!!

I'll make a challenge where someone has to wait till you have uber ready, then burn most of your health away and after you uber and run to a health kit, they repeatedly airblast you over the health kit till uber runs out, puff you on fire again and airblast you some more till you die, while wearing a brightly lit unusual towering pillar of hats. Immediately following this, they have to switch teams so they spawn in the same wave as you, and hit you repeatedly as a scout using the frying pan until you rage quit.

For this they shall get an amazing hat, renamed the "Park mad? Yeah he mad"

What's really fun for you is also really annoying to other players.

Dying is one thing, being juggled over and over like a cat pawing a mouse makes some people RAGE.

I usually try to stay away from this type of play, same reason I don't use mini-sentries anymore. They're fun, but maybe they are too fun. When this imbalance happens, someone is not having fun. Killing them is part of the game. Annoying them, keeping this to a minimum (except blasting people over health kits just to take them yourself, that's usually avoidable by killing the weak pyro, so I do it).

Kind of like if you played Mass Effect 3's multiplayer. A lot of the moves are fun to do to the bots, but vs human players, they would be extremely annoying (lifting someone into the air, freezing them in place, pulling them toward you, hitting them around corners with force balls...). It's why natasha was nerfed; it was too annoying to everyone else. Not everything annoying means the other players need to relax. Games are supposed to be fun, and having strong control of someone's movement is deeply rooted in their own instinct. It's just annoying to the majority of people, and it's natural to be annoyed by those things. Game designers try to avoid those situations because the players are their customers, and no one plays a game to be annoyed.

Airblast is a little overly annoying, but it's also part of the pyro's survival in this game of ranged projectiles. It could do better to push some things less, like ubers, or heavies crouching.

Expect a hammered me to be there. maybe.

Yes, air-juggling IS annoying but something I don't think I will stop. As you mentioned it IS fun. I don't even mind if I get juggled as I have found people that can and DO make me pay for it. gel is one, Heisen is another one, Dane another, as well as Blythe. I could always pull out the old axe and chop away for an instant crit, but where is the thrill in that?

One thing I have always held close is the belief that if you CANNOT remember that it is a game and allow yourself to RAGE, then be honest with yourself, you have lost perspective and are making a conscience decision to RAGE. You have forgotten that game are meant to be PLAYED and by their very nature, ARE FUN!

Games are fun, and you have a choice...choose to have fun, or choose to get pissed off. I have NEVER cared about my K:D ratio, never cared about getting points...what I have cared about is CHOOSING to have fun and then having FUN. Does this stop me from being annoyed? For the most part, YES. I DO get a little annoyed by crits (hell, even hits) from the Scout sawed-off that would have ZERO chance of hitting anything with any accuracy beyond 50 feet IRL, but this is a game...I choose to just enjoy playing it with a great group of people.

Many of us on RH have been playing other games together. If I see you online ever (not snoozing), I'll invite you. We would enjoy your company (for at least 5 minutes ). Most of them are betas though, and playing online inherently gets a bit frustrating in some manner, no matter which game you're playing, so I'm not sure you will be frustration free, but at least it's not TF2 where you can already list 100 things that will annoy you.

A couple other challenges were failed but I can't remember them anymore. Earl also presented his own challenge at one point, but I forget what it was. Slipdisco won the Saxton Hale Voucher.

At one point, MonikerEpsilon "won" the secret prize of being dominated by Hkness. It was determined that being dominated by Hk means you owe me a prize! He offered me a flare gun, which I have yet to collect.

Thanks for playing, everyone! We'll do this again soon, and if not soon, at least again at xmas time! Halloween event is coming in 6 weeks I'm sure!

I made it easier by returning to the cliffs throughout the map and making other people cliff dive...it really isn't that difficult ladies!
