RH Replay Challenge!

The first [recurring] RH TF2 Replay Challenge is here! Post videos in this thread of your best replay! You may only post one for consideration, and it can be whatever you think will get people to vote for you. A funny taunt kill? A triple rocket deflect? An amazing kill streak? Whatever you think people would like to see!

Prizes:
- (1) Mann Co. Supply Crate Key
- (1) 5-use Dueling Game
- maybe more! (if people donate items)

Rules & Guidelines:
- Try to keep your videos short and sweet. Most people don't want to watch your 10-kill streak if it took 7 minutes to do it. That's not impressive. If there is one really cool kill, just edit that part for us to see! Just remember that people are voting, so if you edit it well, it might just impress them more than a boring single camera shot. This also doesn't mean you can't post compilation videos; you can. Just keep it entertaining!
- You must post/link your video here in this thread. See below on how to post youtube vids on the forum.
- This must be YOUR video. You don't have to be doing the killing, but it should be your replay. Limit one video per person. If you post multiple videos, only the last one you post will be included for voting.
- The deadline is 11:59pm PST, Sunday, March 4. I'll create another thread for voting in a poll, and announce the winner during Friday Night Fights, March 9!
- If you want to offer a prize, feel free to offer it and I'll add it to the prize list.
- If you miss the deadline, don't worry. We'll have another contest soon!
- I, gel, am eligible to win too. Why not?

How to Post a Youtube video directly to the forum

I have added a new BBcode tag to allow embedding of youtube videos. this is how it works.
when you go to a youtube video, the link will look like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZVQ19cDoyw
the important part you need is all of the symbols after v=
I have highlighted that part in yellow in the link above. occasionally there will be an & symbol and some extra stuff after that that you don't need like in this link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mc2ZOf3CkKA&feature=channel_page

you can use everything after the v= and it will still work, but you only need the part in yellow.

take the part in yellow from your link and put it into our new youtube bbcode like this:

It's my first (so far only) replay I've made. And for good reason, I'll probably never top this:


Mind the crummy camera work at the end, not sure what I was thinking doing that.

Here is 4 air-blast kills on Hightower .. the best part is #4 is Gel ..

Very nice, especially gel's sigh of defeat...

Here I do my usual...Cliff Dive someone, then burn another, then air-juggle a burning 3rd and luckily deflect a rocket into this 3rd that was being shot at me from behind. Then die attempting to clear the cart...think I had about 20hp or so with all the rockets going off around me.

My sigh was disappointment in what looked fine on my screen. I saw him airblasting guys off the cliff, so ran around the corner to get behind FUBAR, only I teleported back in front of him and got caught in the airblast. That's why you see me running toward the cliff and not at FUBAR (on my screen FUBAR was between me and the cliff). Then the TF2 gods said no and put me a few feet out and I knew it was over.

Cool vid jinx, I like the unintentional deflected rocket. Not sure you intended some parts to be in slow mo (like all of the end), but it was still cool. There is a reset button on the speed, in case you want to return to normal speed.

Yeah...slo-mo was intentional...I like the way my weapon flips up as I die in vain, then the rocket explosion ends the vid. Thought is was cool that way...and was slowing down to see if I could see the rocket I reflected...however, I must have been too close to the spy for the rocket to render.

I get an extra boost from FUBAR's airblast to make a defense on hightower at the very last second. My apologies for the excessive slow-mo (recommend watching without sound).

That was the most bullsh*t defense ever (I was the soldier wearing the pot.)

Well, it looks like Moniker is going to win it if there aren't more votes soon.

Plans changed, and I won't be home early enough for FNF tonight. I can just announce and award the winner on Saturday instead, but voting still ends at the scheduled time (8pm PST).
