I have many of the new weapons from the latest update (some dupes), and all of the other ones. If you guys need any, it'd be cheaper to trade with me than to craft. :D

Let me know what you need. When you're rich, you give back!

Right now, every weapon that is on the first 200 slots is an extra one.

Need pretty much everything that is new. What I have is the Quick-Fix, Persian Persuader, Tomislav and Detonator. Most interested in rest of soldier, pyro and demo sets. Then sniper and medic.

@Ethan targe? I don't care. I'd give that for free, but if you want, you can give me anything else 1:1 so the metal value is the same.

@FUBAR, we did trade once, but let me know if you need anything else. I don't have any needs, so for new weapons, I figure if you were going to craft it with metal and whatnot, I could be cheaper by just trading me a few random weapons or something.

I've got a lot of vintage weapons - are those worth anything?

Vintage weapons are worth maybe 2-3 non-vintage weapons, unless they have a random level number, then they can be worth up to 2-3 refined metal (that's up to 54 weapons). Back in the day, weapons used to drop with random levels. This did nothing, functionally, but collectors like getting weapons with special numbers, maybe level 0, level 69, etc. Collectors pay top dollar for a nice vintage weapon.

I took a look at your backpack and I don't see any special leveled weapons, so I'm going to say that each vintage weapon could get you 2-3 non-vintage weapons, not counting the newest weapons, which are still a bit in demand.

Damn, I could probably get a lot for my level 98 Force-A-Nature.

Oh, I forgot to mention that if you have a vintage version of one of the newer weapons (crossbow, ullapool caber, etc), those can sometimes go for unusuals, definitely multiple hats. Those are extremely rare, and for collectors, that means overpaying.

Don't trade your vintage weapons without asking me first! I will tell you if you are getting a raw deal.

No, because you never get a raw deal from me. I profit the least from RH, and always trade to my disadvantage on RH. I traded Mithyk a white paint for 1 refined, which may sound crazy, but white paint goes for 2 refined very easily. I just hang onto that stuff so I have a decent selection of stuff in my backpack at all times.

So feel free to trade with me. If I wanted profit, there are plenty of people on Steam's forums I can troll.

But how do I know that white paint = 2 refined? In your opinion it does. ROFL. I am just kidding and no, I am not going to research TF2 currency exchanges rates.

What makes a weapon vintage anyways? I always though vintage indicated the weapon was earned through a milestone, but the caber and crossbow can't be earned...at least I didn't think they could be.

There are various reasons weapons are vintage. The first time was when trading was introduced, valve made all hats and weapons prior to trading vintage (not counting promos like bill's hat or earbuds).

Another time was valve made all the crafting recipes much cheaper a few months ago. They didn't want to upset people who used way more metal to make those weapons, so they made the crafted ones (pre-patch) vintage. Any newly crafted ones thereafter were not vintage.

Valve's reasoning to make anything vintage is to keep from upsetting folks who have the items prior to a patch. Usually the update/patch will have changed something regarding those weapons, so I find the reasoning sound. Of course, there will always be complaints, but this is their attempt to curb it a little.

I'm willing to trade a couple weapons for one of your spare GRU's, gel. I need one so I can craft an "Overdose". :D

All the weapons on page 2 minus two or three of 'em are for trade.

FUBAR, Unless steam was having issues at the time, you should be able to use tf2b.com to view your backpack. Here's the link to yours (I tested and it works):

http://tf2b.com/76561197967014230/

@Bloodred, I have an extra overdose if you just wanna trade directly for that instead of the GRU. Either way, I can trade when you're on.

So what is that Level 59 Vintage Jarate I have in backpack worth ?

And why does mine use the litany of numbers instead of the name ? That's what I was trying to figure out .. what name to use to get it to bloody work.

I need that demo shield so I can try the set before it gets nerfed ... lord knows it needs to get nerfed .. its absurd right now. There were 3 very good demo knights on the other team on Harvest last night and they completely owned the whole team.

That'll work too, if the price is right. I did however already went through the trouble of crafting a Crusaders crossbow for it, so I'm kinda leaning towards crafting it from scratch. Also, I kinda like that weapons have our name when we craft them ourselves. :P

@Blood, Sure, whatever works for you. I'd ask 2 scrap for the overdose. Any weapon for the GRU.

To someone who loves #59, that jarate is probably worth 1 refined. To everyone else, probably worth 2-3 scrap. Jarate only gets nicer with age. ;)

Your profile URL is this: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197967014230/
I assume you're trying to use your steam display name, and that's why it's failing. Anyone can change their name at any time, so that's why that wouldn't work for a static URL. I could rename myself FUBAR. As you can see, that just wouldn't work. The nice thing about all this is that Steam lets you set a vanity URL for yourself. Go to your Steam friends list, click on "community home" and click "edit my profile" in the upper right. There you will see this:

Custom URL: h.ttp://steamcommunity.com/id/____________

You need to fill in that last part with whatever you want, and as long as it's not already taken, it'll be yours and only yours, till you change it. You can then use that name on all these backpack sites.

Although pretty OP in many situations (especially vs pyro without axtinguisher), I don't think Valve will nerf the demoknight. It's obviously their favorite class (their dev posts on various forums would confirm that). They even allow you to charge in the air now. I was airblasting a demoknight off the cliff of hightower, and he just charged over my head. This was a stealth buff I read about, but didn't know it was already in the game, till last night. And fun fact if you couldn't tell: Those demoknights were DANE, Yare and Sneakman, although at one point Sneak was on our team and I think dodob was the demo on the other team. We were joking around with names from Aladdin.

There was an update today that fixed something I thought was true, but didn't test empirically to confirm (I read about it on the forum today): they fixed the shield crits!!

Ever since the Jun 28 update, demoknights have been able to crit during their charge, no matter the distance. As long as they were charging, they would have 100% crits. Now it's been fixed back to how it's supposed to be, which is only critting at the tail end of the charge. I thought I was critting a bit too much when I was using demoknight...

Sneakman will be slightly less OP now, although still OP.
