Part 2: 1960 - 1993 : The dark lore of the two-point conversion
The AFL, founded in 1960, was special for many reasons. One was its willingness to do what the NFL wouldn’t and adopt the two-point conversion, which allowed pro teams to score in chunks of eight for the first time. This, of course, changed the mathematics of scorigami forever. So where did the AFL come from? Well, uh … how much do you know about 1930s Texas oil prospecting?
