It's true... I did eat sandwiches a lot to start. But I've moved on to steak and chicken :P . I found a 12v cooker for the truck and since I'm not going fast at all I can just eat on the move.

I'll have to find a picture of me and the wife to put up. I think the only known siting of me was at the meet up years ago at Hooters haha.

I'll be on tonight Grimace I'll get you added to do some nightfalls!

Hey Now, just thinking about you all. Hehehe. I am now in Tucson Arizona, been here about a year and a half. As most of you know I used to live Florida then in 2009 my wife left my daughter and I in Florida and moved back to Cali. I stayed in Florida until my daughter turned 18 then I moved to Idaho in 2013 to take care of my younger sister who had gone into the hospital with kidney and liver failure. I stayed with her until she passed away in April of 2016. In November of 2016 I moved to Arizona to get away from the snow.

I currently play a lot of World of Warships and some WoT, and a little of EVE Online, Civ 5 and X3:Albion Prelude. Am looking into the new Star Citizen game (in Alpha). Look me up "Renegade2u" or Renegade Edagener" in EVE.

As always, miss playing with you chaps and hope all is well.

Sounds like you've been on quite a journey with some tough times but it also sounds like you've managed to come out with your head in a good place. Enjoy the sunshine!

I see you have experienced the roads down here first hand. They work on roads that don't need it and leave roads that need work alone. LOL.

We should get together sometime. Next saturday is the last one off for a long while. I will have sundays and tuesdays off after that. i could come up there on one of those days if next saturday isn't good.

Shoot me a message with a place to me (have gps) and we can do lunch or something.

For those of you not on fb, here is my update:

Over the last 6 months I turned this pristine untouched wilderness:

and turned it into this godless industrialized cityscape  :

Just last week I got my certificate of completion and occupancy:

I designed and generalled the project myself, as well as doing a ton of the work. I really enjoyed the process and was able to get significantly more house than I could otherwise afford because of the savings.

I still have to finish the landscaping ( ie, return some nature to the disturbed land), and I plan on building a shop out back this summer, so I am far from "finished", but we did move in yesterday. Got to get used to a new home after living in the same place for over 20 years!

Wow Ashman!

That's very cool, and looks like a great place! What percent savings do you think you achieved by being the general "contractor"?
Looks like you found one of the last lots in the City! And only a 10 minute walk to Texas Roadhouse. :burpdrink:

LOL, I was just thinking, how the hell does he know that?!? Forgot google maps on the address. Super easy access to the freeway, and a park w/ horses right next door in the heart of the city is a pretty sweet setup.

I just checked a bid I had from a contractor and my cost was 26% below his bid. However, I had several upgrades along the way, and partially paid for my shop build (foundation and trusses are already done), and that wasn't part of the bid. On an apples to apples comparison it might be as high as 40%, hard to say for sure though.

Long time since I have played anything with all of you. Miss the DoD days. I have been playing Armored Warfare lately, unfortunately when I went from Alpha testing with "Renegade" into the Beta testing they added another Renegade onto it so now it is "RenegadeRenegade". LOL. Been trying to get them to fix it for the last 2 months, you know how Dev's are. So if any of you happen to play AW then look me up.

Hey Matrix, sorry we didn't get to meet up. last March my friend asked me to come to calif. near south lake tahoe and remodel a 3,600 sqft office building for him. have been working 7 days a week since May 2018. Ugh, tired. Play when I can. Hope to be back in Tucson in the Fall around the first of Nov.

Editing to let you know that my Armored Warfare nickname is now "Renegade4ever".
