My wife just paid her entry fee. What is it with marathoners, to be excited to run 26.2 miles? I always have to remind her that the first guy who did it actually died.

LOL exactly Morpar. I've run 4 half-marathons and feel certain I am capable of the mileage -- now it's about training slowly and staying healthy until November. my biggest concern is keep things 44 year old body well enough to do the run, not really worried about finishing the 26.2

Tomorrow at 10:30am I will be crossing the starting line of the NYC marathon - my first marathon (with 27MPH winds and a wind chill of 29...oh joy). Wish me luck!
