Mod has wanted a dog for a few years now, and i finally agreed that we would get one after coming back from Thailand.

Went to the pound a few weeks ago and found this sweet little guy who was confiscated from his previous owners for cruelty.

Brought him home after the waiting period and he's been great! He loves people and they all love him!

My wife named him Georgie, though i prefer the more proper (and manly) George.

My first dog btw, never had one when i was a kid.

I can see from the second photo that he's already found work in the defense contractor industry.

We were actually going over who gets what if we had to eat him. Mod wants the ears and I get the crunchy, deep-fried tail.

Lol AC, he could probably do better work than one of the guys we have now. Cheaper too, just pay him in treats.

Thanks Tien, yep he's lovable and faithful all right. It seems that all he wants in the whole world is to get attention from humans. When new people come over to my house, he runs straight at them with a high-pitched bark, and immediately stands up on his hind legs so they'll pet him. We haven't seen one person yet that he dislikes.

Mod has started taking him to the dog park by our house. He ran with the 'big boys' yesterday, got accidentally stepped on, shook out the cobwebs, then ran straight to Mod for comfort and reassurance.

We're thinking of getting one of those doggie dna tests done to figure out what he is. We're told he's a cross between a Dachsund and either a Border Terrier or Schnauzer.

Definitely seeing the Schnauzer in him. Love rescues.
