Hmmmm...not bad, also not good.
No real sense of...dread, suspense or dread. I think the show was meant to bring scares but the acting fell somewhat short. Especially from the actress playing Tess. NOT a good actress in any sense of the word. NOT convincing...

Overall, the story was...OK. There is a mystery, I liked the 'hidden' tapes that showed Emmett doing 'actual' Magic. Those were cool and I am interested in seeing where that part of the story leads.

I mentioned a lack of dread, which ALL good horror stories bring in the ones watching...The show got close, but at least for me, no dread. There were some genuinely creepy scenes...and some good overall scenes, but I felt that the show saw the target, and barely missed.

Hoping the other episodes can build on what it did do well and that the show improves. Hopefully the acting/direction gets better.

did you watch both hours? i thought the 2nd hour was better. the dolls creeped the shite outta me. i liked it overall. i liked that it's different and it's creepy without the gore. when mrs zero and i were in hawaii they were filming this just down the street from our house. i recommend watching it. i hope they keep it up. where jinx says it missed the mark i thought they hit it. i don't watch a lot of horror type shows but love suspense- this was just that.

I do hope they keep going, as I see the potential of the show...and I do agree the 2nd hour was a bit better, but as a Horror fan from way back I found the show too damn predictable. They NEED to work on the suspense...like Zero, this show may work for you...
