Saw some Jack Daniels Single Barrel in the 2nd page, That's some damn good stuff there! Real smooth!

New beer of choice!: Image

This stuff is AWESOME. If you like Blue Moon, Bud Light Wheat or Hefenweisen with lemon, you HAVE and I do mean HAVE to try this.

I'm going to be trying that cider during the holiday me-hopes. Okanagan cider > Grower's cider, so I'll have to see where the Strongbow fits in. My taste for a good cider started from my grandparent's homemade stuff long before I was legal, so my standards and tastebuds are very picky :D

I'd never had it before this semester. A new friend of mine, who's an exchange student from England ,this year put us on to Strongbow. Great dry cider. No dry mouth in the morning is also a nice side effect. Only other brand ciders I've had more than once are Angry Orchard and something with a W.

We used to mix that stuff with canteen kool-aid in Korea, a deadly combination!

Picked this up tonight to 'celebrate' the curtailment at my job...I am off until 01/02/13. ...and since our President has declared that Christmas Eve is a Federal Holiday, I only have to use 32 hours of leave to cover the break. Gonna enjoy this tonight while playing on the server until it steals away what reflexes I have.

mmmm... Chang.

I must be getting old, because it took me more than a year to realize this is for sale in liquor stores in Bermuda. Very nice this evening.

Wow guys, just wow. I found another amazing beer that is very unique and is able to pull off an unlikely combo of ingredients. Vanilla and beer can work? YES it does and it's very smooth and amazing. It's a seasonal beer from British Columbia and if you are a "beer girl" like me and have access to it, I highly recommend savouring this beer before the season is over.

Whoa...Orvie...where did you find that treasure? Would love to try some of that!

Tonight, I am partaking of this: Image

This Irish Whiskey is more malty than either Bushmills or Tullamore Dew but has a good taste just the same. I do prefer this with mixers, it is still drinkable on the rocks.

Been working my way through any and every cider-ish thing available commercially in CT.

Alright

Image
Like Traditional Dry most of the three

Image
Has a finishing taste quite unlike the others

Image
Have to have a second look at these

And 2 other brands I can't quite recall

Image
An interesting alternative if one doesn't want the acidity of cider

Got it from Sobey's Liquor Store. In the two months that it took me to reply back to you, did you ever find some?

I LOVE this thread and it needs more contributions.

I've got three new beers to try out and they need to be mentioned before I can even review them.

First beer is called Rusty Tractor Weizenbock by Fernie Brewing Co. It's supposed to be malty, so I expected a darker, richer taste than what I'm getting from it right now. It's really smooth and light-tasting (definitely NOT light at 7.5% alcohol though) kind of like celery. It's definitely not an average beer taste with a hint of something else on the palate. It is a full on different flavour. Personally, I would go for something else over this one, but it's worth mentioning just because of how different it is.

Image

Second beer, that I haven't opened yet (and may not make it tonight because the Rusty Tractor is a hard hitter - omg, the rest of this will be a drunk post) is Pumpkin Pie Spiced Ale by Alley Kat (I can't provide a link because it's not even on their wesite as of this posting). I'll let you know later how much I like it. Upon finding a decent google image, it seems that there is more than one version. Here is the one that I have.

Image

The third beer that I have sitting next to me is a Muskoka Harvest Ale by Muskoka Brewery. Take a look at the top.

Image

All of the beer that I have at my side are in very big bottles. The first two are sitting at 650 mL and the fancy top one is 750 mL. They're also stronger, even for Canadian standards, so it'll take me a while to get back here with reviews on the other ones.

I came on here to rave about another beer and realized that I forgot to write about the other ones in my previous post.

That Pumpkin Pie Spiced Ale is better than grandma's pumpkin pie. (I'm so sorry grandma). It really is a liquid, alcoholic version of a very delicious homemade pumpkin pie. Definitely one that I hope to drink again and again.

The Muskoka Harvest Ale had an accent of something bile tasting to it, so it's one that I will avoid forever.

Now, on to another superb beer that I'm surprised on how much I really like it. It's a special edition, seasonal, beer that pairs chocolate and orange together. Those orange-flavoured chocolate balls are almost as disgusting as fruit cake to me. I hate foods that mix fruit with chocolate (and bread) products. However, this beer does it well - really well - and is one that I would pick up again.

This is one of the reasons that I like to send out my husband to pick up beers for me, because I would have never picked this one up and put it in my shopping cart.

Probably one of, if not the best alcoholic apple cider I've ever had.

I have been off here so long I don't remember how tothe board attachment quota has been reached

post photos, forgive me if I mess it up. A few nights ago I tried Moylan's Kilt Lifter which was alright. The next I had Marin Hefeweizen that was fantastic! The Moylan's was around 8%,and the Marin was 5 or 6%. I typically prefer around 5%.

Tried to post a photo of the bottles and got "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached."
