i'm on a PC with a networked HP printer. when i select PRINT from the file menu it takes 1-2 minutes for the print dialog box to come up. is this a known issue (Windows 7) ?

Is it a WiFi printer?
Is the printer located in a different part of the house?
If physically seperated, using WiFi, does your house need a repeater?
(I have a repeater in my house as the upstairs does NOT get an adequate signal from my router in the basement and the WiFi printer is in the office upstairs.)
Any firmware updates available for your printer? Router?
