This is the successor to Project Reality and it's only in the alpha build. Vehicles are inbound at the end of January. Much like DOD, the devs are very active with the community. I can't play the alpha yet since it needs at least an i5 cpu but midde of next year I'm gonna be all over this one guys. Check it out!
Right on Jinx, I might build my new one next month so i can get on helos early. I love the scale since this is how shite really goes down. They still have some bugs to work on but it seems that people are already happy with it even in the Alpha build. Devs are on reddit and the main forums and said they are really happy with the EA buys so it looks like they've got good funding.
I can't stress enough that these are the guys who created and supported PR for 10 years (and for free). If you play PR you'll see what Squad is going to become, it's literally everything I could want in a military shooter. The difference is PR had to be hacked and fit into Battlefield whereas Squad is coming from the ground up in Unreal4.
That same uploader has a vid called night raid which showcased a really good squad leader imo.
In the meantime I'm still rocking PR and will be a lot the next week since I'm off work.
I saw it PAX Prime in Seattle and talked with the community manager for ~30 minutes or so. We were discussing Project Reality and how Squad is coming from that pedigree. Was a fun talk.
