clash of clans: defense

Mon Aug 04, 2014 10:01 am

Ok, so for the 2nd week in a row we've had someone score 40+ points on us. I think our offense is fine(ish) since we're still getting 30+ even without using all of our top attackers, but we need to figure out our defense big time.

I got decimated by a pure dragon attack so more air defense for me. I have all 3 of my air defenses upgrading and they will all be lvl4 by next week. Gonna look into if there is a strategy to leading dragons into range too.

Anyone else got some ideas?

One idea - DO NOT upgrade your town hall if ALL of your defenses are not completely maxxed out. If you do so, you're pushing yourself (and the rest of us) into harder battles. It's boring to upgrade all the way but it's the only way we'll have a chance in clan wars. my 2 cents

What AC said is spot on. Always be maxxed before upgrade.

That and center the war clan castles. There are still like 3 castles that are on the outside, which are a total waste in the time of creation and cost. Plus doesnt help the defense.

Ash - this is the base I was talking about in chat. I got 2 starred on it the first war (attacked only once) but I have everything maxed, besides 1 more lvl on teslas

I also suggest going wizard/archer combos instead of dragons in WCCs.

In my main we use 1 witch, x wiz and rest archers. Works great.

Ill try to do some research before this weekend

Article on best (suggested) combos.

Without witches (only Devil has them), I suggest we try going 5 lvl 5 wiz and 5 archers.

Thoughts?

makes sense to me. Harder for them to focus on so many targets and a good chance they'll be hitting some building while we pummel them. :)
I think in some ways a dragon makes too big of a target.

I'll take a look at that layout.
