1 hour and 25 minute wait to get into "The Harbinger" - and I thought the last beta weekend was bad

Hopefully they are more accurate with the queue times - that last beta weekend had a 5 minute wait that lasted almost 10

Only 1308 people ahead of me now...

I remember when all the wow servers were like that. I used to get in the queue as soon as I got home from work so that I could play hours later.

You guys have to do a pvp warfront, huttball is amazing! It's like space ruby/football (you're trying to get the 'huttball' from the middle into the opposing teams endzone), but with poison pits, flame traps, and you can toss the ball down field to teammates... but as the announcer says, no kicking the ball, show respect to our hutt sponsors!

It's really hard to explain, just try it out. Btw, you queue for a warfront by clicking the icon in the bottom right of your minimap if you didn't know already.

Ok .. bad move on my part .. Just figured out what happened. When The gods that be shoved me off of Harbinger, I joined another server and my char somehow followed me on that server.

Master Zhar Levin is the server my char shows up on now.

We need to decide on one .. figure out if we can port chars, and stick with it, agreed, but do we really want to stay with Harbinger ? Not less than a 45 minute wait every time I have logged on. I wont stick with the game if it is almost an hour wait each night just to try and play.

fyi, I vent server is available for use anytime if that would be helpful. I don't know if SW has in game voice or not.

We should also try to not duplicate crew skills. I will post mine once I figure out what I chose :)

My character, Saburo, has reached level 14. I'm going to do the healing/damage tree for the Trooper Commando. Currently, I have Armor crafting as the crew skill (heavy and medium armor)

BTW, you guys can use my mumble server for SW:TOR. Jinx and FUBAR know the details.

I just read about the position data aspect to Mumble, that sounds really interesting.

Unfortunately, Mumble is so far a bust for me in game...I have uninstalled the client and installed the latest client, ran with default settings, reset the settings, used different keys, shut off my firewalls...nothing I have done allows mumble to work for me when I am in game. I have run the game in fullscreen, fullscreen/windowed, and windowed. Neither setting I have tried has worked. Unless anyone as any ideas why it works for Fubar, but not me, I will be giving Mumble the heave ho.

As such, lets try Steam Chat...hopefully that will work...

Damnit .. I didn't and I am pretty close to your level BBB.

Sad note .. due to an Amazon blunder (sending my game to my old address and the current resident returning it to UPS/Amazon), it will be a delay before I can get back online :(

Do you need to run it under admin privileges?

FWIW, it appears that companions and ships are granted not by level, but during primary character missions. This is the first MMO I played that gave a booty call as a mission (+710XP for the trooper  )

So I started an alt character for myself:

Kibagami
Dark Jedi Guardian (Tank)
Crafting: Artifice (Lightsaber crystals, hilts; shield generators/focus)
currently at level 13 on Coruscant

This one is a bit more interesting as I have been doing all of the dark side options instead of light - my poor T7 droid is not very happy

Got a good saber for a dark 1 BBB.

And a nice gun.

Anyway, I am at the point where I get my spaceship .. though I haven't gone over to pick it up yet. Waiting for it to be detailed, plus it was really late.

Online again after the forced break .. lvl 16 and climbing.

Tried the Steam Chat with Jinx last night .. started me getting REAL LAGGY. However, I also had just landed at the Jedi Temple, and after hanging up "Steam chat", I was still laggy, though not quite as bad.

So, guess I'm not sure if Steam Chat caused the horrible lag or was server related, will have to try it again. However, I noticed no change with Mumble in framerate, onle Jinx couldn't make it play nice with his machine.

Thought we could give Xfire a try...I used to use it way back when...

If not that there is a new beta prog out called Voxli...though I don't know anything about that one.

Mumble would be perfect IF it worked for me...dammit...never had an issue with it playing TF2. I can get it to work in everything EXCEPT SWTOR
Weird thing is I could get it to work as long as I did NOT set it up for Push to Talk. If I had it set to Continuous, it worked and we could talk. However, everyone would hear everything on my side... Also, this introduced Lag for Fubar and his ancient system. Don't understand why it works with Continuous but not Push to Talk. Any ideas?
