I hope they keep it like the original, where you can solve each level in a variety of ways, and can beat the game using any skill upgrade path. I remember in the original it was possible to beat the game without killing anyone. (Or you could GEP gun every living/mechanical thing.)

I had bought the original on Steam a while back due to never finishing it years ago. Good memories, though.

Yeah Earl, from the looks of it, there seem to be a ton of skills you'll never upgrade everything, so you'll probably be able to specialize in whatever you want and play that way. As long as they don't force sections on you, it should be good. The modern thing to do, though, is to set up a linear game with cinematic scripted events, but with a name like Deus Ex, they better keep it like the first game!

It's a bit like how I was talking about SCAR, that game I've been designing. Choose your loadout, play how you want.

One incredibly replayable building/level/room/etc can literally make a game, even if the rest of it is full of mostly lackluster "on rails" action. I sincerely hope they make the hard mode hard enough to have trouble with the game, so its fun replaying it over and over again. Even if it doesn't have crysis 2 graphics, this could be a gem.

Bitch deserved it. That's what she gets for being racist against augs. The mirror's just sitting in a storage closet.

BTW, loving this game so far. It definitely has stayed true to the spirit of the original. I had to kill a few people in the first mission, but since then, I've been using nothing but stun guns, knockouts, stealth and evasion. I think I'm going to replay it as a gun slinging badass next time.

I've been swimming in college work so I'm a bit slow to jump on-board, but I've been waiting a long time for this one, and I'm loving it so far (when I have time to play). I'm also playing it with stun-gun/tranq/non-lethal right now, and plan on going back through it guns blazing next time.

My only complaint at all so far, is that boss fights seem unnecessary when so much of the game you could essentially sneak through without even engaging enemies. Kind of breaks up the flow if you're trying to be stealthy, then clumsily walk into a room and get caught in the cinematic. It's a small complaint though, the game is amazing thus far.
