Well, that was a short-lived addiction. I got motion sickness really bad and ended up curled up on the couch for the rest of the night feeling quite miserable.

that's how I felt when I played WOW during the 10 day trial.... I felt so lonely....... : (
Looking good. I'm still not going to bother with single player, but I would love an always-up RH server! Can we make that happen?
Right now a few of us have been playing on Al Fire's server, but it just runs off his laptop and is a bit unreliable. It's also only up when he's got the server running, and his laptop is on. Still pretty fun and it's more fun to me building in a world with other folks.

How about CPU usage? I found a VPS service with 1GB dedicated RAM (supposed to be enough for about 20 players from what I read) that I can get for $21/month after a promotion code and pre-paying for 1 year.
Screw paying for a server then, talking about 1GB dedicated memory. What a load of crap. Why don't I just run my old computer with its 4GB of RAM, set it to low power mode, auto back up, and keep it on one of my multiple UPSes, GAWD. Electricity would probably be cheaper than the $15 or $21 a month server cost!
Parky, not our fault you stayed in Mumble and are too cheap to pay for Minecraft.

Ok a few administrative things about my minecraft server:
Furious you are no longer an op
Furious you are no longer ever to touch tnt again
Furious you are now banned from the minecraft server forever
DO NOT USE/PLAY WITH TNT ON MY SERVER
Furious you are now banned from my server forever
My minecraft server used to use around 30-100MB of memory before Furious laid down many, many tnt blocks
My minecraft server now is using 800MB of memory after Furious's tnt blocks exploded
Let me know in advance if you plan on joining the minecraft server due to this massive increase in memory usage due to Furious (who is now banned) stupidity so I can see if more than one person can play at a time
Haha, although I'd blame Al, the problem is you can't remove a TNT block after it's placed. If you try to do anything with it it blows up. So having 1000 blocks of TNT sitting there was bound to be bad at some point. Better now than later when there's more stuff built I guess.
